ITS Interns, in partnership with the University community and ITS, seeks to create an on-campus internship program in tactical expansion and support of the Saint Louis University technology environment. With leadership and fostered collaboration of ITS, the ITS Intern Program provides support to the technology needs in a dependable, pioneering and successful manner.
ITS Intern Vision Statement
The ITS Intern Program will provide the ability to stretch expectations, aspirations, and accomplishment of ITS Interns and the University Community, by providing highly practical training and experiences to increase individual members' expertise and potential in Information Technology Services fields. This capacity uses all information, technologies, and resources to ensure SLU's position as the finest Catholic university in the nation.
ITS Intern Goals:
To stretch expectations, aspirations, and accomplishment of those individuals in the ITS Intern Program and the University Community, ITS Interns specifically:
- Develop student leadership, technology, and business skills.
- Provide supervision and support for the public-use computer labs operated on campus.
- Provide other technology needs in various departments on campus who request services.
- Continually improving services in order to meet and respond to the technical needs of Saint Louis University.
- Provide support and management of the Billiken Print System.
- Provide other technology services to the University as the need arises.
- Hire students who are motivated to learn and make contributions that will strengthen the ITS Interns program.
- Develop experienced and professional students upon graduation.
- Continually improve ITS Intern services in order to meet the technology needs of the Saint Louis University community.
ITS Professional Dress Code:
- Business-casual for staff, ITS Interns, and student workers:
- appropriate attire: slacks, skirts, and shirts with collars
- inappropriate attire: jeans, athletic attire (sweatshirts, sweatpants, gym shoes, t-shirts, spandex, casual sandals, and shorts)
